Safety,
capacity and versatility are the hallmarks of the HEADWATER 24. With a beam of 8
ft., and a hull weight of under one thousand pounds, she is easy to tow and
launch, and economical to power. Her broad, flat, dory bottom allows her to be
beached, as well as simplifying construction.
Detailed in the plans are
three distinct floor configurations, including an easy-to-build 1" thick single
floor, a 3" thick foam-filled double "Shellfish" floor; and a full self-bailing
deck! Power options include transom and well mounted outboards, as well as
I/O's of moderate horsepower. The PREDATOR pilothouse can be fitted to the
HEADWATER 24: These drawings are available with the HEADWATER 24 plans on
request at no additional cost, as are drawings for a lobster-style cruising
house and a shallow V-bottomed version of the
hull.
